2 CARBON motors in back to back testing

The Ultramotive CARBON is a very high power and torque dense ironless electric motor. It has a peak power rating of 150kW (522Nm) and a continuous power of 58kW (122Nm) all weighing only 40kg (excluding inductors). The CARBON spec sheet gives further details.

This motor is well suited to use as an inboard drive motor with a fixed reduction gearbox. The first prototype was installed in the DGR Civic which recently raced from Darwin to Adelaide showing excellent efficiency and reliability.
